Giuseppe

Ballyhoo’s first Bubble Bar, “Giuseppe” is a 1977 Piaggio Ape P501. Available for rent, this unit is equipped with 8 draft drink taps and can facilitate up to 4 different types of drinks.

Giuseppe was originally owned by Alberto Giuseppe in Italy, and later made his maiden voyage from Italy to the USA. For years he was used on a farm in Southern Texas.

The Ape (pronounced “ah-pay”) is common in Italy where its compact size allows it to navigate narrow streets, park easily, and serve as an impromptu market stall. In India, these vehicles are commonly referred to as “tuk-tuks”, which translates to “taxi”.

Equipped with a total of 8 drink taps, the Bubble Bar can facilitate up to 4 different types of beverage, carbonated or non-carbonated.

Giuseppe is compact! He fits perfectly inside any venue with a 5′ wide door.

Once filled with drinks and parked, this unit is completely self-serve. “Set it and forget it!”

DOES BALLYHOO PROVIDE ALCOHOL?

Ballyhoo does not have a TABC license. By law, the client must purchase or provide the alcohol. HOWEVER! With that said, Ballyhoo wants your day to run as smoothly as possible. I can advise on you on what to purchase and where and when, and can also deliver it for you. It’s as simple as one phone call!

How do I know how much alcohol to purchase?

 

This is easy! I’ve already done the research for you. The Bubble Bar uses:

Sixth Barrels

Sixth barrels are the main kegs I use. These can hold beer, cocktails, wine, carbonated or non-carbonated drinks – anything!

Each sixth barrel keg is 661 oz. (or 5 gallons). Each provides up to:

~55 (12oz. glasses)

~40 pints (16oz. glasses)

~82 cocktails (8oz. glasses)

Guiseppe can hold up to 4 sixth barrel kegs, providing up to 160 pints.

Quarter Barrels

Want beer only? In this case, I would suggest quarter barrel kegs, each 992 oz. (0r 7.75 gallons). Each provides up to:

~82 (12oz. glasses)

~62 pints (16oz. glasses)

Guiseppe can hold up to 3 quarter barrel kegs, providing 186 pints.

Half Barrel Kegs

Need a LOT of beer? Then we will use half barrel kegs – the big kegs from your college party days. Each half barrel keg holds 1984 oz. (or 15.5 gallons). Each provides up to:

~165 (12oz. glasses)

~124 pints (16oz. glasses)

Guiseppe can hold 2 half barrel kegs, providing 248 pints.

 

WILL SOMEONE BE PRESENT TO SUPERVISE THE BAR?

The Bubble Bar is built to be completely self-contained. This makes it so easy as self-serve for your guests. Once filled with beverage, the draft system is self-serve and may not be modified.

Events including alcohol will require a TABC certified bartneder to be on-site at no additional charge.

Should someone be required to be on-location for a non-alcoholic event, an additional fee of $200 will be added.

How does it work with alcohol consumption at events?

Our TABC certified bartenders will be checking IDs. It is suggested that you provide wrist bands of your choice so your guests only get carded once. Previous clients have ordered more stylish wrist bands in bulk from Amazon. At that point, guests may serve themselves freely. You may also choose the option of allowing so many drinks per guest, monitored by the bartender.

Please note – Bubble Bar is not liable for injury or damages incurred by anyone under the influence of alcohol. But we will be looking for guests who have reached a certain level of intoxication and cut them off as needed.

My location requires a TABC certified bartender...

Perfect!  Our employees are TABC certified and will be present at the event.

What happens to the leftover alcohol?

Ballyhoo is legally not allowed to leave the premesis with leftover alcohol. Leftover alcohol is either left with the client (by method of dispensing into containers provided by the client) or discarded.

BUBBLE BAR LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

Indoor venues or backyards must have a 5 ft. wide door. A minimum area of 10’x10′ is needed for Giuseppe.

WHat about covid?
Should you be concerned with the threat of COVID, a masked and gloved attendee may be provided to serve drinks in disposable cups. A $200 fee will be applied. For more information, give me a call!
